Crossleyans Squash Club newsletter

Hello again

This year’s summer grand prix is now in full swing, the competition, as usual has, been played in fantastic spirit. The front runners so far are team number 1. They are currently on 120 points from 10 matches played. They are being quite closely followed by teams 11, 12 and 10 who are on 112, 109 and 105 points respectively, however teams 10 and 11 have played an extra game. Those at the bottom are team 4 on 50 points from 10 games and team 5 on 57 point also from 10 games. Teams 2, 3 and 6 should also being looking over their respective shoulders though to try and avoid the dreaded fancy dress playoff on finals night.

Finals night this year will be held on Friday September 12th. As mentioned earlier the bottom two teams play off in fancy dress just for fun, the bottom team having already won the wooden spoon. The top two teams play off for something much more important. BEER. There will be reduced prices for drinks and a free supper, so why not come along and show your support.
